About the Speakers:

Alejandra Celedón is a Chilean architect, researcher, and curator based in Santiago. Her work connects
architecture with history, art, and archaeology through research, exhibitions, and writing. She holds a PhD
from the Architectural Association in London and a Master’s degree from UCL. In 2018, she curated Chile’s
Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale with Stadium. In 2019, she co-curated the Chicago Architecture
Biennial. She is currently Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design at Universidad Diego Portales
in Santiago.

Pedro Ignacio Alonso is a Chilean architect, researcher, curator, and academic based in Santiago. He holds a
Master’s degree from the Catholic University of Chile and a PhD from the Architectural Association in
London. He co-curated Chile’s Monolith Controversies pavilion, which received the Silver Lion at the 2014
Venice Architecture Biennale. His work focuses on architecture, industry, politics, and material culture in
Latin America. He is Associate Professor at the Catholic University of Chile in Santiago. He has published
widely and curated exhibitions internationally, including at the 2022 Lisbon Triennale.
