In this first film, part of a longer interview with Brazilian anthropologist and professor Teresa Caldeira, she talks about the main contested aspects in contemporary urban agglomerations. One of the main changing aspects in cities is the evolution in gender issues, not only on the rights of women, but also on those of the LGBTQA communities. A direct consequence of the emerging negotiations is the growing violence towards communities that are gaining rights.
