In this conversation, Theo Lorenz and Tanja Siems, co-directors of the AA Interprofessional Studio at the Architectural Association, discuss their new book /People: At Home in More Than One Discipline (Actar, 2025). Drawing from over fifteen years of experimental teaching and collaborative projects, the interview unpacks the figure of the “/Person”: a practitioner who operates fluently across disciplines such as architecture, performance, design, and philosophy. Through concrete methods, case studies, and reflections on collaboration, objects, and performance, Lorenz and Siems reveal how working between fields can generate new forms of knowledge, creativity, and practice both inside and beyond the academy.
