Stan Allen is an architect, educator, writer, and former Dean of the School of Architecture at Princeton. He founded his studio Stan Allen Architect, based on the Hudson River Valley, where he works at the intersection of architecture, landscape and ecology. In this video he talks about architectural competitions as never-definitive designs, their role as platforms for collective debate and individual expression, and the differentiations existing within them.
