In this short excerpt of an interview to anthropologist and professor Teresa Caldeira, she explains to the interviewer Kathrin Golda-Pongratz her most recent project on the emerging forms of collectivity in cities of the Global South. The aim of this project, participated also by AbdouMaliq Simone, Gautam Bham and Kelly Gillespie, is to study the new kinds of urban living that emerge from the generation that was born in the city, grew up under democratisation, is fluent in rights-talk and appropriates public space through street culture.
