Diego Arraigada graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the National University of Rosario with a degree in Architecture (Silver Medal) and from the School of Architecture of the University of California Los Angeles with a Master of Architecture degree in 2003 (Graduated with Distinction). In 2006 he establishes his professional office in Rosario, Argentina.
He is a Professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Studies, Torcuato Di Tella University in Argentina and has been a guest professor and lecturer in several universities in Argentina and abroad. Among other distinctions, he obtained the Arquitectonica Foundation Prize for young architects, the Fulbright Scholarship in 2002, the Silver Medal at the XII International Architecture Buenos Aires Biennale in 2009, and the National Prize for Technological Innovation in Architecture in 2015. In 2011 he was selected to represent Argentina in the II Latin-American Architecture Biennale in Pamplona, Spain and in 2014 he was selected for a solo exhibition at LIGA Espacio para Arquitectura, Mexico DF. In 2016 he was nominated for the Mies Crown Hall Award for Emerging Architecture. (Chicago, 2014 -View House- and 2016 -Brick House-). In 2017 he was invited to take part in the II Chicago Architecture Biennial with a site specific model. He has also been part of the regular body of Jurors of the Argentine Federation of Architecture Institutions (FADEA and CAPSF) for national open competitions and prizes.
His works have been displayed in several national and international exhibitions including Breaking Borders Exhibition (Pratt Institute, New York, 2011); Past, Present, Future (UCLA, Los Angeles, 2010); Post Post Post (Centro Cultural de España en Buenos Aires, 2010); New Argentine Architecture Exhibition (XIII CLEFA, Buenos Aires, 2009), the Architecture Venice Biennale in 2012, 2016 and 2020 and the Argigram Exhibition at the Museum of Contempoary Art in Mar del Plata, Argentina, 2019. His works have been widely published in specialized publications such as Summa+, PLOT, Taschen Houses Book, Taschen Brick Book, A+U, GA, Interni, The Plan, Ottagono, Mark, Azure, Architectural Review, Architektur Aktuell, Arquitectura Viva, El Croquis and ARQ Chile among others.
