Alfredo Ramírez is an architect and co-founder of Groundlab a practice committed to research and develop the discipline of Landscape Urbanism. He studied Architecture in Mexico City, and the AA graduate programme Landscape Urbanism in 2005.
Before founding Groundlab he has practised in several architectural offices and institutions in Mexico City, Madrid and London where he has concentrated in architectural and urban design projects like the Olympic master plan for London 2012. At Groundlab he has won and developed several competitions, workshops, exhibitions and projects, including winning entry for Longgang City international competition masterplan and the newly open international horticultural exposition in Xian, China.
Alfredo is also Co-Director of the Landscape Urbanism Design Master at the Architectural Association, Director of the AA Visiting School In Mexico City and has given workshops and lectured on the topic of Landscape Urbanism and the work of Groundlab in Italy, Israel, Germany, Mexico, China, UK Venezuela among others.
