Several interventions are meant to improve the green infrastructure in Sant Andreu de la Barca, along the banks of the Llobregat River from the Corbera Stream to the Palau Stream. Existing paths are consolidated, new sections of footpaths and cycling paths are created, along with small areas for rest and leisure, planted with trees and native vegetation.
The construction of a pedestrian access and a new cycle path around the industrial estate makes it possible to cross this area in a safer, more comfortable way and helps to better connect the urban centre with the river area. The river is reached from a path parallel to the AP-2 highway, where the pavement is improved, and through three underpasses, which are adapted and where daytime LED lights are installed.
In short, the project consolidates the socio-environmental and landscape recovery of one more section of the network of river paths being built along the Llobregat River.
