In this conversation, the role of architects and architecture in processes of green gentrification is brought into question. Isabelle Anguelovski reflects on how projects are often framed through forms of green branding that promise inclusion and environmental improvement, even when neither is meaningfully delivered. She argues that architects and design studios bear a direct responsibility to avoid reproducing these narratives and the forms of displacement they can help legitimize.
