Thom Moran

Thom Moran is an American architect, designer, and educator. He joined the University of Michigan’s Taubman College as the 2009 – 2010 Muschenheim Fellow where he is currently an assistant professor. Thom holds a BS in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois and a Master of Architecture from Yale where he co-edited Perspecta 41: Grand Tour. His practice involves solo projects and several ongoing collaborations that each explore different issues related to material experimentation and fabrication. Thom’s work has been widely recognized. Most recently he received the Architectural League Prize and was named a “Firm to Watch” by Architectural Record. His writing has appeared in Pidgin, CataLog, MONU and Triple Canopy. His work has been exhibited at the Shenzhen Hong Kong Biennial, The New School in New York, Storefront for Art and Architecture, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Venice Biennale. Thom is a collaborator at Thing Thing, a partner at Dreamsz, and a member of T+E+A+M.
