Stefano Andreani is a licensed architectural engineer and educator interested in the strategic implementation of advanced technologies in architecture for innovative design solutions. He is an Instructor and a Research Associate at the Graduate School of Design of Harvard University and the Project Manager of the Responsive Environments and Artifacts Lab (REAL) at Harvard. His research focuses on technologically-driven architectural design, exploring alternative scenarios for the built environment and augmented experiences and interfaces through the development of technological-longevity design strategies. Merging academic research and design practice Andreani is the Head of INVIVIA Europe at INVIVIA Inc., a global architectural design, user experience and design research studio.
Andreani lectured, published, and exhibited internationally in numerous venues. He received a Master in Design Technology from Harvard GSD, pursuing research within the Material Systems and Processes Group on the informed deployment of computational design and robotic fabrication methods for novel building systems. He also received a Master in Architectural Engineering and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the University of Perugia, where he served as a Lecturer in Architectural Technology.
