Since 2005, he has pursued his professional work with Pablo Oriol at FRPO Rodriguez & Oriol; they have won a number of awards, including the Design Vanguard 2012 Award, the Europe 40 Under 40 Award (2009) and the Bauwelt Award (2007). Their work was also selected for the 9th Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial, the 9th Exhibition of Young Spanish Architects (2006) and the Wallpaper Design Awards (2007). Their work and their designs have been published and exhibited in publications and in group exhibitions in several countries; it was recently part of the exhibition “Cut ‘n’Paste” at the MoMA in New York. Along with Lina Toro and Pablo Oriol, he is co-director of Undergraduate Thesis Projects at IE University, and is an associate professor of Architectural Design at ETSAM. He is currently writing his PhD dissertation, “El Entendimiento Infraestructural del Proyecto Arquitectónico” and publishes articles in Circo, Sociedad y Utopía, Quaderns and Pasajes Diseño. He is editor of the books Ma/SP Proyectos de Arquitectura, Matterscapes and The Infrastructural Beach. He is involved in the research projects “Emergencia Creativa”, “Beyond Tourism” and “TRLab”.
