Eduardo Kairuz (Caracas, 1973) is an architect and artist based in Melbourne. His cross-disciplinary research practice investigates questions of the disrupting effects of crisis on architecture and the city, focusing on conflicts that have emerged in Latin America and, increasingly, in the developed world. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Central de Venezuela, a Master of Fine Art from the
University of Sydney, and is a PhD candidate at RMIT University. Currently, he is a full-time lecturer in Architecture at the Architecture Department of Monash University Art, Design & Architecture where he coordinates the Architecture Foundation Studio and teaches Architectural Design in the Bachelor and Master programs.
