BLOCK is a working group that brings together three architects: Denis Brillet, Benoît Fillon and Pascal Riffaud.
The agency was created in 2000. It was named Young Architects’ Album Winner in 2002. In a decade of collaboration, BLOCK has gained significant experience in the fields of public and private facilities, housing and scenography. Their many projects and achievements have confirmed the team in an approach as unique as it is effective:
+ Taste of simplicity and economy of means;
+ Belief that the best solutions are often to be invented;
+ Willingness to apprehend the manufacture of the city in all its dimensions;
+ Belief (again) that architecture can be both modest and demanding.
It is in this state of mind, in this back and forth between observation and proposal, that BLOCK addresses the urban and architectural projects proposed to it.
