Atelier Descombes Rampini

Georges Descombes, architect, trained at the University of Geneva and the Architectural Association in London, has worked “in the landscape” since the Parc de Lancy (1980-86) and his participation in the “Swiss Path” (1987-1991). He teaches at the Institut d’Architecture in Geneva, and has been a guest professor in Amsterdam (Berlage Institute), Versailles, Rapperswill, and at Harvard and the University of Virginia.Julien Descombes was born in Geneva in 1963 and founded ADR sàrl with Marco Rampini in 2000. A few months later, they completed their first joint commission having won a competition: the exterior development for the Mission of Canada to the United Nations. Other projects followed quickly thereafter (various of which were in collaboration with the architect Georges Descombes), which led them to specialize in planning and the design of public spaces.
