Nestled along the path leading to the Rose Garden and Egon Schiele’s studio, Casarosa harmoniously integrates the rich heritage of Český Krumlov with modern living experiences. This townhouse, located in a UNESCO World Heritage-listed area, offers breathtaking views of the city’s enchanting corners, inviting guests to immerse themselves in both history and beauty. Designed as a refreshing alternative to traditional accommodations, Casarosa maintains the original layout of the house while providing spacious, unique living spaces in each of its five distinctive apartments. Notably, the original tiled stove has been preserved, adding a touch of history to the modern design. The uppermost apartment offers stunning views of Křížová hora and the city rooftops. During the renovation, intriguing layers of original wall coverings were revealed and meticulously restored, enhancing the connection to the building’s past. A soothing palette of pastel colors sets the tone, while vintage pieces sourced from antiques and bazaars—like the Mito chair from 1970 and Ycami Italia’s elegant silver chairs—create a dialogue between eras. These classic furnishings are complemented by contemporary stainless steel kitchen units and understated seating, lending a modern shine to the interiors. Throughout the project, the spirit of Český Krumlov—its atmosphere, mystery, and artistic heritage—is woven into every detail. The design philosophy prioritizes openness and generosity, allowing visitors to reflect and draw inspiration from the beauty surrounding them in every season.
