Felipe VI Park

Felipe VI Park in Logroño (Spain) is a park on a sloping roof of a train station, designed with Ábalos Stenkiewitz Architects.

A system of lineal edges of shrubs creates a network for erosion control, which increases its density in relation to the increment of the slope. The irrigation system with its sprinkler’s radius of 9m defines the shape of a field of grasses, where the linear edges spread outward to protect the trunks of the trees from the path of the mower.
