Marta Ariza completed her studies at the University of Alicante and the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar, Germany. Her Final Degree Project, “La Monumental is vandalized, an iconoclastic refurbishment project”, which was awarded the highest honors, was entered and selected for the 5th Advanced Architecture Contest (IaaC), the ISARCH competition, and the IE Architecture+ Prize. Since 2007, she has alternated freelance graphic design work with collaborations at architecture firms – in Murcia during her university studies and, since 2014, in Barcelona for MDBA and Barozzi Veiga – in addition to working as a freelance architect. In the publishing business, she has collaborated on books on construction, studio monographs, creating layouts in magazine format for interviews, various fanzines, and posters and signage for events and forums. In 2014 she was part of the online platform MDBY, where she helped organize, install, design and curate the exhibition “MDBY ARTISAN HUB’14” in Mitte-Barcelona during the month of November. She is currently a member of the editorial team at Actar and urbanNext.
