Sylvia Feng is a designer currently working in New York at an international architecture firm specializing in the design and research development of education, lifestyle, and workplace spaces and structures. She has also worked as an exhibits and furniture designer. No matter the scale of operation, her aspirations and interest lie in design that is efficient in material, environmentally intelligent, and intuitive to users. She believes that design is primarily an exercise to solve problems in an innovative fashion, whether in architecture, engineering, or communications. Sylvia received her bachelor’s of science in architecture (summa cum laude) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She attended the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she earned a master’s in architecture I in 2009.
