In January 2014 Kees Kaan has founded KAAN Architecten with his partners Vincent Panhuysen en Dikkie Scipio. Recent projects are the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the new Supreme Court of The Netherlands, ISMO Paris, Provinciehuis Noord Brabant, GUZ Tubingen, Planta LLeida, Bijenkorf Amsterdam.
As founding partner of the firm Claus en Kaan Architecten, Kees Kaan has built both a national and international range of projects. Among them are the winning entries for the masterplan El Prat de Llobregat in Barcelona, a building for Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat in Lille, the Pharmacy building on the campus of the University of Granada.
Realised projects include the Crematorium Heimolen in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, the Netherlands Forensic Institute in The Hague and the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique and Erasmuc MC Education Center Rotterdam
Kees Kaan is currently the supervisor of the Lijnbaan district in Rotterdam and the University Campus of TU Delft. He has been a juror for many international architectural competitions.
Kees Kaan is professor of Architectural Design at the Delft University of Technology, he is the Chair of Complex Projects.
