Biljana Arandelovic is a PhD architect, urban researcher, lecturer and visual artists. She is also assistant professor of contemporary architecture at Niš University and Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts Belgrade. She was trained as an architect at Niš University and holds a PhD in architecture from Graz University of Technology (TU Graz, Austria). Biljana has taught as an invited lecturer at the Unitec Institute of Technology (Auckland, New Zealand) and was a guest researcher at ASK Art Science and Knowledge Research Centre at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy).Her research interests range from contemporary cities, place marketing and city branding, creative industries, and culture-led urban transformation to the role of public art in contemporary cities. Besides her academic work she has captured the visual identities of contemporary cities while living and working in them over the last few years.
